Oh shit here we go! another year another Conan movie I can't wait.

Edit: Holy shit the start was action packed. It's been a while since I've been this excited for a Conan movie yet I have no idea how good it'll actually be lol

And my god the romance between Sato and Takagi. Made Sato look a little more... feminine? in this episode. Though we already know she's hot af and the whole department is crushing on her.

Aside from that, the lore behind the 5 police officers is quite extensive... and rather sad. And the side story focusing on how they met and developed over police academy was great. If ever interested in some DC lore, might want to check out how those guys got to know each other.

It actually makes me fear a little bit. Everyone of the 5 has died already in the line of duty... except Amuro (You know what they say, the brighter the flame the quicker it burns). Hate the feeling but I think that in accordance to his name "Zero" there's a chance that Amuro will probably die along the way in Detective Conan. It completes the table of all 5 of them dying, and I suppose turning the number to Zero.

Though who knows? Maybe he lives and the whole point is he lives with it for the rest of his life.

Kogoro going batshit crazy so the cute nurses would take care of him is something else too. Good one Kogoro... way to be a little more unfaithful to Eri.

PSA: Don't hide behind car doors for bullets. Bullets will go clean through them. The safest place is actually behind the engine block, because it has the most solid metal and thus the highest chance to actually stop a bullet. But cars do NOT make for good cover.

And I was thinking that the whole time. If the bomb is based off of mixing two compounds... why not just stop them from mixing lol. Break the glass on either end quickly even if the bomb is activated it'll just flow out. Or break the reservoirs themselves. I suppose the thing you cannot confirm is if there's anything else hidden within the metal that you can't see that would also mix and go boom boom. You couldn't take that risk but when considering the circumstances... not a bad idea.

I'm surprised though. Conan of all people couldn't deduce what bothered Amuro? I mean, in his memories 4 officers walk up, about the time that Amuro would've known them and all of them alive, and he got the name of Matsuda (He got Jinpei). Would've though he could've pieced it together but I guess it wasn't too concerning for him.

Oh man! The ED song by Bump of Chicken though. Even though I don't particularly listen to them (I have one song from Karakuri Circus), I can recognize them immediately.

Really just hope it's not a letdown like the Scarlet Bullet movie.

Though since movies are non-canon it makes sense that nothing much could've happened in the movie.

But damn was I excited for it and kinda disappointed when I watched it. Maybe just me.

Well you know each movie hits different for me.

I don’t think it was a bad movie, in fact most of the detective Conan movies aren’t bad at all

I was just expecting much more from scarlet bullet than what it gave.

But now that I think about it, the premise of the hyping of the movie was based on the Akai family, and due to how closely related they are to the main plot line, it’s not something a movie can expand on much.

As always, the movies are all non-canon so they have to stay with it.

Interesting. I would definitely agree on 11, and I’m sort of always indifferent on the Kaito Kid ones. They have their appeal and some people quite like it when Kid shows up

As for 15 I quite enjoyed that one. I thought the opening sequence was quite the nervewracker and it goes a pretty crazy ending sequence too.

But yea they’re also sorta good in their own way. 11 is probably overall the worst movie for me?

Movie 14 with kid kaito is good I still find it funny that ran doesn’t know that kid is usually to pretend he’s shinchi especially after many time he’s tried on horny cause movie 10 ends in a way that makes Conan question why ran acts knows who shinichi is

Regarding the Kogoro thing, the nurse was wondering if he had a tolerance to anesthetic because it wasn't working so I assumed that was a reference to all the times he's been shot by Conan´s tranquilizer? And that he's actually very much in pain lol.

It calmed down for a second, then so much happened all over again lmao Good to see Ran in all her useless glory, letting a child run over to check on her potentially smushed father. I very much appreciated her absence for the majority of the movie.

I love Sato and Conan interactions, they're a funny duo. All these cops just accepting that Conan is around lakdjfaldkf He's smarter than everyone in the room so it's good for business. Furuya looks good in a collar. It's always interesting to see more of Furuyas backstory! He's such a cool character. That bomber guy was leaping around like they were Kid, should've brought a Phantom Thief to that fight.

I really liked Yelenika! She had a solid reason to do what she did and her group was important for the final Dectective Conan bullshittery lakdjflakjdflkadjf ALSO SATO AND TAKAGI KISSED WE'RE WINNING TODAY BOYS!!!!!

It was absurd as always, but that's what makes Detective Conan movies so fun. You can't go into this shit thinking rationally lmaooo The animation this movie is really fun to! Idk what they did different, but it feels a lot more expressive! Compared to past movies and recent episodes that is. I had fun, very thankful to the translators!!
